CutGear Studio Help

Practical support for designing, testing exports, restoring access, choosing file formats, and using the imported SVG workflow.

Quick Start

  1. Choose a generator from the homepage or open the Gear Generator.
  2. Adjust teeth, module/tooth size, bore, thickness, and cutout settings.
  3. Preview in 2D or 3D.
  4. Use labels and guides to check layout.
  5. Export SVG, DXF, or STL when ready.

Free Test Export

Use one free SVG/DXF export to check scale and import behavior before buying. STL exports require a pass.

Export Passes

Designing and previewing are free. Passes unlock downloads during the active period.

  • Daily Export Pass: unlimited exports for 24 hours
  • Weekly Export Pass: unlimited exports for 7 days
  • Yearly Pro Pass: unlimited exports for 365 days

Restore Access

After checkout, access is saved in your browser. On another device, restore with the same checkout email.

File Formats

  • SVG: laser/vector workflows.
  • DXF: CAD/CAM/CNC workflows.
  • STL: 3D printing.

Imported SVG Workflow

In Spur Gear, import an SVG, move/resize/rotate it, lock SVG or gear layers, and export a combined Gears+SVG design.

Troubleshooting

  • If an SVG/DXF imports at the wrong scale, use the Free Test Export and check units.
  • If lines look faint in another program, check stroke/hairline settings.
  • If access does not restore, confirm the same email was used.
